Welcome!
How may we be of service?
“keep it simple, pull the project forward, continuously improve – quickly”
Engineered Outcomes was founded to help startups launch their ventures successfully. Based in Silicon Valley, we tap into a rich network of development talent. Founded by a Cal Poly mechanical engineer with deep manufacturing experience, we prioritize simple, elegant designs. We avoid unnecessary complexity, knowing it only adds cost and risk.
As a small, agile team, we respond quickly and focus on pulling your project into production. We work closely with you to streamline the critical path and tackle the biggest risks early. We choose projects that leave a meaningful impact and take pride in using our skills to benefit the medical technology startup community.

Dave S. Rhodes
Dave started his engineering adventure at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where their “learn by doing” ethos made an impression as a mechanical engineering graduate. His first job, 2003, was with Abbott Vascular Devices in Redwood City – formally known as Perclose – where he spent 2.5 years supporting very high-volume closure device manufacturing lines. This experience was formative! Fourteen years ago Engineered Outcomes was founded and since then it has been a countless stream of design projects for many different clients big and small.

Juan C. Beltran
At 19, Juan emigrated from El Salvador to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream, bringing with him a strong work ethic and determination to succeed. In 2000, he was offered an opportunity with a startup medical device company, Perclose, which marked his entry into the industry. Since then, his hands-on mechanical skills and thirst for knowledge have led him to serve a variety of medical device companies, where he has been key in the design, development, and manufacturing of their products. In 2012, he joined Engineered Outcomes, where he uses his broad experience to find elegant solutions for our clients.”
